There are many benefits to learning through on-the-job training. Flexible learning does allow for a range of interactive training strategies and caters for differences in learning styles, interests and needs. There are no formal lecture or information sessions. However, from time to time informative course related excursions may be offered. All New Apprenticeship Training Programs and courses are based upon Competency Based Training Principles.

A Training Plan is created and agreed to by all parties prior to commencement of training. Your contribution will be vital to the success and enjoyment of your training.

Recognition of Prior Learning

TrainingFirst Australia recognises existing AQF qualifications and Statements of Attainment awarded by other Registered Training Organisations.

Definitions:

Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is an assessment used to determine whether a person has achieved competencies of units through formal and informal training/learning and experiences to match the required learning outcomes of a unit or units of competency.

Recognition of current competencies (RCC) is the recognition of competencies obtained through formal training equivalent to an assessment of competencies.

TrainingFirst Australia ensures that all prospective trainees are provided with information on how to obtain previously obtained skills recognition - RPL/RCC status.

Formal training or education certificates
Work and life experiences
Recognised informal training
