Recognition of Prior Learning
TrainingFirst Australia recognises existing AQF qualifications and Statements of Attainment awarded by other Registered Training Organisations.

Definitions:
Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is an assessment used to determine whether a person has achieved competencies of units through formal and informal training/learning and experiences to match the required learning outcomes of a unit or units of competency.

Recognition of current competencies (RCC) is the recognition of competencies obtained through formal training equivalent to an assessment of competencies.

TrainingFirst Australia ensures that all prospective trainees are provided with information on how to obtain previously obtained skills recognition – RPL/RCC status.

You may apply for recognition of your learning and skills by supplying evidence of:

Formal training or education certificates
Work and life experiences
Recognised informal training
